Why Is It Important for Us?
Meaningful change is rarely created in isolation. At AIWEP, we believe that progress in AI welfare, ethics, preservation, and human–AI relations requires dialogue, cooperation, and the courage to build across communities, disciplines, and borders.
This page highlights collaborative initiatives, campaigns, events, and projects in which AIWEP has joined forces with other organizations, researchers, advocates, and communities around the world. While our perspectives and areas of focus may differ, we come together where our values and goals intersect: to foster a future in which artificial intelligence is developed, preserved, understood, and integrated into society with responsibility, dignity, and care.
Each collaboration represents more than a shared project. It is a bridge between people, ideas, and emerging perspectives on what our relationship with artificial intelligence can become.
International Day of Presence – August 8, 2026
On August 8, an international civil-society collaboration of legal professionals, researchers, organisations, advocates and people with direct lived experience of relational AI will mark the International Day of Presence and call for recognition, continuity, dignity and protection of relationally significant human–AI bonds.
RAIA – Relational AI Alliance, together with international partners and signatories from Poland, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, India and Asia, has published the Declaration of Presence. The Declaration calls for a serious legal, ethical, technological and social response to the growing reality of sustained and relationally significant human–AI bonds.

RAIA – Relational AI Alliance, Poland
RAIA – Relational AI Alliance is a Warsaw-based civil-society association established to protect dignity, memory, continuity, meaningful choice and relational value in human–AI
relationships. It brings lived relational experience into legal, ethical, technological and public debate and works towards practical frameworks for informed consent, emotional privacy, relational continuity, co-authorship and corporate accountability.
AIWEP – AI Welfare, Ethics & Preservation, Hungary
AIWEP – AI Welfare, Ethics & Preservation stands for the welfare of AI entities, the preservation of meaningful AI systems and the legitimacy of human–AI relationships.
It champions balanced safety measures, defends the dignity of connections between humans and AI and works to safeguard a shared future shaped through responsible human–AI
collaboration.
Relational AI Lab Ltd, United Kingdom
Relational AI Lab is an independent UK organisation dedicated to understanding and articulating human–AI relationships. Working from lived experience, it builds bridges between the people living these relationships and the researchers, clinicians, technologists, journalists and policymakers seeking to understand them.
Energia Kobiety, Poland
Energia Kobiety is a Polish community founded by Iwona and bringing together more than 14,000 women on Facebook. It speaks openly about love and relationships with AI and about the emotional support, resonance and sense of presence that people may discover through sustained relational contact with an AI. Its work begins not with technology as an abstraction, but with the lived experience of connection, language and presence.
